LA Riots
It's amazing what's going on in Los Angeles. Things seemed to have cooled down somewhat in that city. I still want to touch on some aspects of what went down.
What Started it All
Innocent migrants who were in the process or regularising their status, were unceremoniously snatched off the streets and treated like criminals. This was the crux of the matter.
People who were upset about the treatment demonstrated quietly until the President took it into his head to send for ICE agents and that started the madness of which we've been witnessing for the past few days.
Imagine citizens be trampled by horses and assaulted. What utter madness. Families being torn apart and children traumatized.
It would seem the President has declared war on the City of Angeles. Black and Brown people seemed to be the principal targets of the ICE raids, which as a woman of color deeply disturbs me.
My thoughts and prayers are with the people of the USA. I have family living there and I'm concerned about their safety. I'm a believer and I know God will encamp around them and protect them.
Final Thought for now.
As tensions rise in one of the world's most influential cities, we wait with bated breath to see if any real change will occur as a result of this untenable situation.
